Easter Nest Cupcakes

I recently saw a Pinterest post for the most adorable Easter cupcakes I just HAD to make myself.  You can go here to see the original post.  She made them skinny, but I was in no mood for such nonsense.  I'm still stuck in the "I'll diet tomorrow" phase, which I'm still hoping will fade out as soon as mom moves out.  But until then, I'll keep surrendering to oh so yummy sugar!  Mwahahahahaha!!!

The cake's a plain ol' vanilla recipe mom found, but we added sour cream.  The icing's a basic cream cheese vanilla frosting, and I toasted some coconut (I don't think the original was toasted), and put some jelly beans for eggs on top.  Enjoy! :)

Paintings

I've been doing a bit o' painting lately, so I thought I'd share a couple of my masterpieces.  I'm working on one for our anniversary this month, so I'll post it in a few weeks!

Well, the dog's not in the kitchen, but this is my view when I'm doing any crafting.  Posha and Maggie on either side of me.  They're so good though, never getting in mommy's way.

I LOVE this one!  Brightens my kitchen right up :)
